Mandala World Academy is currently focused on building internet based advanced educational curriculums offering a unique learning experience to each student. The unique teaching method is driven by the desire to create an important ‘paradigm shift’ in education and how the world is educated. The desire of Mandala is to establish dynamic learning environments to empower students to live and lead more productive personal lives and contribute values to society.
The curriculum being developed for Mandala World Academy follows the methodology of Brain-Targeted Teaching. Brain-Targeted Teaching focuses on learning, brain processes of learning, and how students learn. With Brain-Targeted Teaching all students can become creative and innovative thinkers and learners. Brain-Targeted Teaching places neuro-educational strategies into a framework of teaching and learning to implement in a manageable, cohesive, a successful way. The focus of neuro-education, the research behind Brain-Targeted Teaching, is on mental processes such as memory, attention, emotions, how the human mind develops, and mental pathways of learning.
Our goal is to develop curriculum as a holistic (emotional as well as application of skills) approach to synchronous and asynchronous learning. Each students’ physical, mental, and emotional well being is taken into consideration with each lesson. Each unit is seamlessly woven with art integration in each lesson to assist with long-term learning. The students work toward achieving a learning mindset at the onset of each lesson, to prepare themselves to glean as much information and deep learning as possible. Our curriculum is written for ‘middle school students’ (6th – 8th grades), but can be customized with assignments and assessments to fit K-12th grades. Our curriculum fits seamlessly into learning management system modules set up in weeks, or can be set up day-by-day.
